About Us

Root 2 Rise

The seed for Root 2 Rise Yoga Collective was planted from a simple longing: community. For years, I searched for a space that felt like home—a place where people could come together not just to practice yoga, but to connect, share, and belong. When I couldn’t find it, I realized it was time to create it.

Root 2 Rise was born from that vision: a welcoming space for anyone seeking connection, growth, and balance. Here, yoga is more than movement—it’s a shared journey of grounding through arts and yoga while growing spiritually and creatively.

We believe in the power of coming together. Whether through yoga, breathwork, art, or mindful gatherings, our collective is a place to nurture the spirit, celebrate individuality, and strengthen the community around us. This is our home, and we invite you to make it yours too.

R2R Collective Etiquette

 1. Arrive on time
Give yourself a few extra minutes to check in, settle, and gather props. Entering late can be distracting to others and stressful for you. If you’re early, enjoy quiet time on your mat—breathe, stretch, or simply rest.

2. Remove your shoes
Please leave shoes in the lobby or designated area. This keeps the studio clean and honors the space we practice in.

3. Practice with humility
Yoga is not about competition or showing off. Come with an open heart, respect others, and remember—we’re here to practice presence, not performance.

4. Communicate with your teacher
Let your teacher know about any injuries, sensitivities, or if you prefer not to be adjusted.

5. Be mindful of hygiene & scents
Arrive fresh, use a clean mat/towel, and avoid heavy perfumes or oils, as scents carry easily in class.

6. Unplug & be present
Phones and devices should stay off and away. Class is a chance to disconnect and fully arrive in the moment.  Phones are NOT ALLOWED in the practice space.

7. Respect personal space
Be aware of mat placement in crowded rooms, stagger if needed, and avoid stepping on others’ mats.

8. Keep the space quiet
Many students come for peace and reflection. Keep conversation to a minimum and honor the atmosphere of calm.

9. Stay through savasana
Savasana is an important part of practice. If you must leave early, let the teacher know and slip out quietly before it begins.

10. Clean up after yourself
Return props to their place and wipe down mats if you borrowed one. Leave the space ready for the next class.
